Serverblight (Known as The Empty Server) is a ongoing YouTube SFM series made by Two Idiot Germans.

Synopsis

The series starts with player name "Dicksalot" (Real Name: Aaron) who was playing a normal Team Fortress 2 Casual game but stumbles upon a Empty Server from a gamemode of Payload of the first stage of Thunder Mountain he load up. However, little did he know, it would soon haunt him from every server he ever goes to after his "encounter" with the creature.

Plot

The Empty Server

Dicksalot starts the game of Payload in Thunder Mountain while waiting for the game to finish, and as soon as the loading screen was finished. He joined BLU team and pick Sniper, after being put in the game he looked around and sees nobody was in the spawn room with him but shrugs it off and types "whatup gays" to see anyone would respond, the RED team player name "GUILLIESUIT" responded him with "kys" to try and warn him but Dicksalot responded him back with "Rude" to his remarks, believing to be a usual typical Team Fortress 2 behavior. Not knowing what was going on with the server.

Dicksalot runs out of the blue spawn room and sees that nobody is at the battlefield fighting each other at all, he types "where yall at" to know if anybody is playing, and while waiting for a response a RED Spy player name "Breadolphin" runs past him in fear shown through his Spy player model which caught Dicksalot attention pull out his melee believing he would attack him, but instead witnessing him jumping off the cliff and died out of bounds via cliff shown from the killfeed. Dicksalot thought he was being funny and said "lol spy", which afterwards Breadolphin disconnected from the game shown via chat box afterwards.

Soon after, Dicksalot hears footsteps from the first checkpoint checkpoint and quickly swaps to his primary weapon "Bazaar Bargain" and spots a Red Scout (directionz) running down first checkpoint and tried to headshot him but misses his first shot when he jumped, which Sniper lead out a sigh frustration. directionz notice Dicksalot standing outside from BLU spawn and stood still, nodding him in fear to hope he would shoot him. Dicksalot didn't understand at first and headshot directionz without hesitation as shown from the killfeed.

Dicksalot believes they're bad at the game and types "man yall are bad" but the GUILLESUIT once again said "kys" to again trying to warn him but Dicksalot responded with "u2" and continue onward. He heads to the first checkpoint which leads to the RED spawn area but again noticing nobody was fighting each other, but soon looked down and saw a RED Heavy laying down next to a large ammo crate, medium health pack, and a medium ammo crate he left behind, which he was presumably killed. However, he has enough of the server by saying "idle server bs" and tries to disconnect from the game but realizes he can't disconnect from the server for odd reasons, he then looked down and again to where the RED Heavy was originally at and see his body had suddenly disappeared.

Knowing he can't disconnect, he sees and notices the payload cart is near the last checkpoint that was about to be reached to the end, and so he dropped down to try and push it but suddenly heard from his left and saw a glimpse of a RED merc going into a house which didn't notice at first but looked back at it again, and instead went after the RED Merc to try and kill him with his Tribalman's Shiv, but reveals to be a RED Engineer who's moving... normally like a human and life like. It was reveal to be GUILLESUIT who has been warning him from the start since he joined the server, and again ask him to "kys" while his mouth syncs the way he talks in chat box.

Dicksalot suddenly felt unease and confused with his Sniper showing a "shocked" expression and wondering how GUILLESUIT was able to move so "humanly" by asking "how are you doing that", GUILLESUIT ignore his words and said "you have to kill yourself", he then slowly approaches Dicksalot and to try and grab his Tribalman's Shiv, before doing so Dicksalot asked him "how are you movig like that" which again, GUILLESUIT ignores and asked him "leave while you still can" looking at him one last time before he notices something at the doorway and fled up the stairs. Leaving Dicksalot alone and confused, he turns around and saw a RED Heavy from earlier who now has six fingers as he lingers on the doorway.

The RED Heavy tries to attract Dicksalot attention by luring him with one of Heavy's voice lines, Dicksalot notices something strange about it and saw six fingers on Heavy before he twitches his fingers, causing him to run away in a panic from the creature to where GUILLESUIT had ran to which it soon followed after. Dickalot stops for a moment and sees GUILLESUIT laying on the floor with the pool of blood with the Tribalman's Shiv, which he kill himself with. And while the creature is saying voices lines of the mercs, Dicksalot notices something from the wall to his right which was likely from GUILLESUIT and was written "DON'T LET IT TAKE YOU ALIVE".

Dicksalot turns back to he came from to see if the Serverblight is there before turning back to the left window and jumping out to get ahead of it, the Serverblight goes up the stairs and starts pursuing after Dicksalot as he tries to run back the BLU spawn area as it chases him from the first checkpoint to the cliffside, and just as the Serverblight was about to reach him, Dicksalot manage to jump off the cliff and kill himself by out of bounds, which the Serverblight soon backs away from cliff distortedly and it's grow quieter from the distance.

Soon later, Dicksalot was able to disconnect from the server and afterwards his game would crash after the nightmare he had witness.

The Empty Server: Migration

After Dicksalot disconnected the server, it soon follow-ups during aftermath when he escaped the Serverblight. After for a while, a gibus RED Engineer (JonyDany12) spawns into the server and when he was about to walk out of spawn, GUILLESUIT said "I'm having so much fun!' from the chat box. Which JonyDany12 paused for a moment and responded him back with "good for u", and proceed to leave out of the RED Spawn room and placing his sentry gun at the final checkpoint and trying to upgrade his sentry gun while doing so. GUILLESUIT would then repeat the same sentence again which made JonyDany12 confused for a few seconds before responding "are their any bad guys?" GUILLESUIT didn't respond to him and still repeats the same sentence over and over which made JonyDany12 annoyed and tell him to "shutup" and tried to look for him by following him likely by hearing the ragdoll sound effect nearby.

After finally finding him, he sees GUILLESUIT smiling while slamming his body up and down from the stairs while still repeating the same thing, JonyDany12 was concerned and begins to show fear through his Engineer character but notice something strange behind him saying "whatis that" and when GUILLESUIT stopped moving, he turns to see GUILLESUIT's back and saw the Serverblight starts coming up the stairs as it started making mercs voice lines while GUILLESUIT with little consciousness he has raise his right hand to likely hope he would escape in time.

The Serverblight attempts to catch him by surprised as the panic JonyDany12 tries to disconnect but couldn't be able to and tries to disconnect the second time which he succeed in doing so and leaves. However, the Serverblight had actually let JonyDany12 disconnect on his own and said "Thank you" with one of Heavy's voice lines and disconnected from the server, unknowingly taking the Serverblight with him as it migrates to the next server.

SERVERBLIGHT

It begins with a normal game of Payload Snowycoast when Hector0n was killed by a BLU Pyro who then taunted him after capturing the last Capture point of C, which Pyro (Drain Damage) type to Hector0n and said "kys". Hector0n (Matt) was furious at the BLU Pyro remarks and rant about hating Pyro mains, he then told Aaron (Dicksalot) to switch Soldier so they can carry the entire team to victory. Which he did so by switching from Sniper to Soldier and were able pressure the BLU team away from the cart and even so not letting them be able to let them reach to the end, in which they won the entire game.

After a short victory, Hector0n kill himself with a killbind. Dicksalot asked him if he just killbind just now and Hector0n said he did indeed kill bind and asked how he was able to do that, Hector0n typed out in the chat box put in "bind k kill" in console. In a few seconds, Dicksalot kill bind himself just like how Hector0n did and said "lol" after.

After the match reset, Hector0n notice there's barely anyone on BLU team with only just being him, Dicksalot, and scubamaster96. He told Aaron they were going to get stomp from fighting most of the RED team and barely anybody played community servers nowadays and suggested they should just play casual instead. Dicksalot knowing what happened and what traumatized him before from The Empty Server, he simply said "nah" to him, Hector0n wants to know his reasoning and for what was his deal with Casual.

Before he could reply back, the RED team was filled in with players such as TANKy, Ichgod, and TNT_PRINCE joining in the server. However, from one of those players, Aaron immediately sees a familiar name among them was "GUILLESUIT" who was the one who warned him about the Serverblight as his Soldier begins to show expression of fear. Matt not knowing the situation they were in and what Aaron had been through, he asked him if he's good but Aaron denies his worries and said they need to the leave the server now, which Matt was confused on why they suddenly need to leave considering what he said from earlier.

Aaron said he knew those names before during his time on Thunder Mountain and they must disconnect immediately, Matt still confused about the situation from the players he mentions and asked him what he means, which Aaron denies him again and tells him to leave the server. Matt still didn't fully understand him but follows what he told him to, but when he tries to do so he was confused and shocked on why he suddenly can't leave the server. Aaron then asked him to try and killbind, which Matt try to do so but even so he couldn't killbind either, he then questions Aaron about who was that guy on the RED team.

Aaron didn't respond but instead try to kill himself with his own rockets in attempt to disconnect from the server but Matt tells him to stop hurting himself (which he unintentionally saved him from doing so) and said who cares if the RED team was cheating and said they could just ALT + F4 anyways, still worried Aaron agrees with Matt.

Matt calmly encourages Aaron they were able to carried the entire game last time, so dealing with a "script kiddie" shouldn't much of problem to them, he then switch from his Quick-fix to a Medigun and was highly confident that they'll be able to show what they can do against the RED team. Although Aaron soldier express has shown worries of the idea, but none the less decided to go along with the plan and switch his Stock Rocket Launcher to the Direct Hit and said "Yes". Matt asked if scrubamaster96 is willing to join their plan against the enemy RED team "cheater", which he turns around towards Matt and said "we go together" while Heavy is smiling before running off on his own. Matt sighs and responds him by saying he's an idiot.

They manage to push the cart to the first checkpoint, but Matt notices none of the RED Team are stopping them. Aaron notices they even had a full RED Team as well which Matt worriedly agrees and said they should keep pushing the cart. But as they were doing so, Matt notices a RED Scout running up stairs to the first RED Spawn area and chases after him with a Ubersaw; Aaron tells him they shouldn't chase, but Matt cockily said "Um, yeah we should. I'm getting that free Uber!". Worried about his well-being, Aaron followed after him as Matt manage to kill the Scout but reveals to be directionz from earlier. He asks Matt if he's okay, although Matt was confused at first but said he's doing fine, and they should keep going while twitching slightly but was cut short by a gun shot from the distance from a stock shotgun.

They continue on pushing the cart and captured the third point, which opened the gate in front of them; however, more gun shots are heard again coming from the underground tunnels. Aaron tells Matt to check on scubamaster96 to see what happened to him, Matt simply responds "Okay" and went out to go look for him. Aaron soon follows but was interrupted when he heard footsteps from his left and saw a deformed directionz crawling away towards the mines alternative mine entrance which made Aaron scared and gripping his Direct Hit grip tightly as Soldier. Matt notice Aaron wasn't following him and called out his name, which caught his attention but looked back at where directionz was before following Matt to the shaft.

After entering the shaft, Aaron and Matt manage to locate scubamaster96 standing still in one place; Matt calls out for Heavy to see if he responds, but scubamaster96 simply said "we go together" like before and lowers his stock shotgun before dropping it. As choking sounds begin to be heard coming from scubamaster96, Aaron said they should go but scubamaster96 turns around and reveals a hand sticking out of his mouth. Scubamaster96 chat box later turns *DEAD* and chases after the duo while repeating the same line over and over in the chat while Heavy says "HELP" RUN" "HELP ME". Aaron and Matt manage to escape where they came from but were cornered as scubamaster96 becomes distorted; Aaron immediately initiates a votekick on scubamaster96 and Matt presses F1 as the Heavy slowly gets closer and closer. Just before the infected scubamaster96 can reach them both, the votekick goes through and kicks him out just in time (however the chat box strangely did not mention the action).

Aaron then tells Matt they need to leave the server by jumping off the map at the last checkpoint of the map; while still sounding nervous, Matt agrees with the idea, and they leave the cart behind to go to the final point. They both head to the mines and spot a RED Demoman headbutting a wooden wall near the exit; Matt tries to Ubersaw the Demoman like he did with the RED Scout from before, but Aaron quickly tells him he shouldn't do it again as it tries to trick them into thinking their players. Matt silently puts away his melee and while waiting, Aaron sees the right side of the RED Spawn room as a only way to get through; Matt agrees they should keep going and both heading towards where the RED Spawn room was and to the other side, but while they were there, a medium health kit and large ammo crate suddenly spawned, hinting that a Spy must be in the server with them.

Upon reaching near to the RED Spawn room, Aaron finds a gibus RED Engineer laying on the ground with one of his legs stretching an impossible distance from the RED Spawn room; as the Engineer twitches on the ground asking why does he feel so cold, it is revealed to be JonyDany12 who was partially infected at the last second by the Serverblight grabbing him before leaving the Thunder Mountain map. Aaron begins to show emotions through his Soldier with sympathy and looks to his surrounding to see if anyone was watching him before pulling out his Reserve Shooter to put JonyDany12 out his misery and suffering.

But before he could, the RED spawn room door slams open and the Serverblight slowly emerges to try and chase after the duo; due to the increased number of bodies assimilated into its mass since their first encounter, the abomination is unable to move quickly anymore. Matt runs away but Aaron tries to shoot his Reserve Shooter back at the Serverblight in a failed attempt to kill it before quickly following Matt to the left side of the point; while en-route, the infected RED Demoman (SnoWDooM) from earlier appears and pursues after Aaron. Aaron pulls out his Direct Hit and shoots at the RED Demoman (SnoWDooM); which he misses, the RED Demoman still explodes as if he was struck and Aaron escapes from the stairs, but the gibs left by the Demoman are seen being dragged away.

Aaron and Matt go up the stairs while Aaron reloads his Direct Hit and picks a nearby ammo crate. He realizes the Serverblight was baiting them into Spawn room, Matt didn't understand what he means and asks "What?". Aaron begins to hypothesize and reveals to Matt that he has seen the Serverblight before and was learning from them, which again Matt simply said "What?". Aaron believes it can try to pretend to be a player and as his messages fill the chatbox, the mouth of the Soldier is seen repeating them signifying that Aaron has been fully brought into the game into his avatar's body. He tells Matt they have to leave quickly.

Matt again says "What?" in the very same tone from earlier, but this time Aaron quickly notices and turns around in horror; as he lowers his Direct Hit, Aaron notices that the voice chat bubble above Matt is not aligned on top of his player model. "Matt" slowly looks up and realizes the error, revealing that he has become infected, then opens his mouth as choking sounds come from him as well as a slowly growing elongated hand. Aaron looks on in horror and realizes that his best friend was infected since killing the Scout from earlier; as he pleads for his friend, Aaron slowly backs away from "Matt" as he raises both of his hands which become elongated and twitching.

As "Matt" calls out his name, Aaron was left no choice but to leave his best friend to the Serverblight and headed to the final point on his own. Two more infected RED players (a Demoman and Pyro) try to cut off his escape as "Matt" tell him he "can't leave". Aaron is able to rocket jump towards the pit and kill himself by landing inside the Death Barrier. He apologizes to Matt before disconnecting from the server while the Serverblight roars in anger and frustration that Aaron was able to escape them the second time while the RED Pyro and Demoman return back to spawn.

The Blighted "Matt" then returns back to his original form, soon after the three other players had joined server that being HeadshotFraudster and DatChernobylGuy being assigned to RED Team, and I work at the subway likely had joined the BLU Team. The Blighted "Matt" then smiles afterward when seeing the three players joining.

SERVERBLIGHT:Assimilation

A player named Gavin sits inside the basement of his house and decides to play some TF2. His game avatar, Syrenix, arrives at a Dustbowl map and joins the game choosing to be a BLU Spy. As he leaves the BLU spawn room, there is general banter going on in the chat which he ignores. As he leaves the upper right tunnel, he unknowingly bumps into a retreating BLU Scout and makes it to the field in front of the first capture point. As he decloaks to kill one of the RED mercs, Gavin hears something behind him; as he turns around in his chair to investigate, this causes RED to see him and dies in the game. Gavin tries to warm up his hands after feeling a chill but ultimately disregards it and goes back to playing.

Respawning, he goes past a BLU Soldier that stands motionless while watching him leave. After disguising as a Pyro and cloaking himself, Syrenix notices that some of the RED mercenaries are repeating movements and not advancing; upon hearing a growl behind him, both Gavin and his avatar turn and are shocked to see a RED Sniper standing atop the stairwell next to the point seemingly staring at him. Fortunately, Syrenix moves to the side and the Sniper pays no attention to him and goes past towards the other RED mercenaries. Slightly more perturbed by this, Syrenix continues on and successfully backstabs a Medic; once again looking behind him, Gavin notices for a moment that his arms have changed to that of the Spy. He then notices that all the gunfire coming from the first control point has stopped. Both Gavin and Syrenix say 'wtf' and as he feels something touch his back, turns and spots a RED Soldier staring at him from behind the corner leading to the final control point before it quickly moves out of view.

Freaked out about this, Syrenix types in the chat how strange this is as the sound of the first control point being captured is heard. He cloaks and goes back to the first control point only to see all the BLU and RED mercenaries staring at him in unison. As Gavin begins to visibly react to this, the body of a RED Heavy appears behind him in his basement. When Syrenix moves from side to side, the other mercenaries follow his movements and begin charging towards him. Syrenix panics and turns to run away; when he spots the RED Soldier from earlier also charging with elongated fingers, he goes down into the underground tunnel and Gavin soon finds himself appearing in the game. After becoming frightened that he is unable to disconnect, Gavin/Syrenix hears the other players coming down the stairs and decides to try escaping by capturing the last point and end the game.

Upon touching the control point, Syrenix notices a message saying the capture is being blocked. Looking around, he sees a distorted thumb touching it. The hand connecting to it begins twitching and growing longer as Syrenix drops his knife and starts backing away in horror. Another distorted hand appears as the RED spawn door opens and it is soon revealed that it belongs to scubamaster96, who was infected back on the Snowycoast map and has been mutated into another iteration of The Serverblight. As the abomination repeats the phrase 'we go together', Syrenix falls to the ground as the other Blighted players approach from behind. The infected scubamaster96 screams "Run. Help Me!" as it convulses and twitches through the air as it closes in on Syrenix. In the basement, Gavin sits in pure fear as scubamaster96's twitching hands appear behind him as well. The screen begins to glitch as Gavin begins convulsing in real life and the phrase 'we go together' appears around him. Syrenix reaches up towards the Serverblight as his hand elongates and his scream mingles with that of the other Blighted players.

As his infection is completed and Syrenix becomes the newest Blighted player, the dead and hollow body of Gavin is seen slumped back in his chair.

Trivia

• In The Empty Server, the RED Spy (Breadolphin) at the beginning of the video was a foreshadow of when he jumped off the cliff, he was able to disconnect and survived from the Serverblight likely seen everything had gone down. Aaron has done the same by jumping off the cliff at the end of the video, which allow him to disconnect from the server just like how the Spy had done in the beginning.
  • This is due to how directionz and GUILLESUIT cannot disconnect the game due to ending themselves or getting killed by another player as the "Client Disconnect" did not appear on the chat box after death. Which is likely due to being in part of the map and not out of the map.
